How to go live on Instagram

i'm going to show you exactly how to go live on instagram and some of the settings that recently came out that made this much much better now instagram live has been around for a long time and i'm just updating this video because some of the new updates are super useful including practice mode and scheduling a live for a later date so jump into your profile and press the plus sign and to go live you could just create a live from here if you don't see this live option it may be that you have to switch to a creator or a business account i know some personal accounts will not have this live option so in case you don't have it just go to your settings here and in the settings menu go to accounts and on the bottom you could switch account type to creator or business in this case i already have a business account and i already have live available to me so let me go ahead and go live here to show you some of the new options the first thing you do when you go to this page is you typically want to add a title to your video so your title for whatever this is for will go over here this option lets you post if you want people to contribute to a non-for profit this is again very useful for a lot of cases but you don't have to set anything here this option is really useful the newest option where you could set this to practice mode actually perfect for what i'm doing here because i don't want to go public so nobody is going to know and nobody's going to be notified that you're going live it's just a way for you to make sure everything's good so i'm going to set that audience once you want to go to public you just change it back to public and then it's going to notify your followers this is the schedule so again you add a video title you set a date and time here and then you just press schedule live video once you set that and it's going to schedule it for a later time let me cancel that right now let's say we want to go live to go live right now you just press live again i'm gonna make sure i'm on practice mode because sometimes it reverts back i'm gonna press live and it says you're live now on practice mode because it says practice mode so some of the options while you're live okay so let's say you were actually not in practice mode and you were live what you could do is you could actually go ahead and press this plus sign and see any requests for people that want to join here you could go ahead and invite people to join you could search their name and invite them to join here as well and there's a question kind of a q a section here where people could ask questions and you could also send this to other people if you want to invite them with direct messages and you have a bunch of options like here you could go ahead and flip your camera which comes in really really handy you obviously don't want to use the front-facing camera here you could add a photo you could go ahead and put yourself on mute here you could turn off your video here and it's just going to show your profile picture so those come in really really handy and right now basically if i was live and not in practice mode people could see exactly what i'm doing and people could tap here and leave comments as well and you could see the comments from there once you're done you could just press x and end the video here and it's gonna show your insights basically the analytics who watch the video you could go ahead and view this in a live archive and if you don't want to save this you could go ahead and delete this video and it's going to be deleted and then i'm going to discard this video here and it's that simple to go live on instagram i hope you found this useful i'll see you next time
