How to delete facebook account permanently

Today I will be showing you how to delete your Facebook account on the computer, using the facebook website. If you suspect your account has been hacked or you just want to get rid of your Facebook account permantley or temporialry, this video is for you.

Okay, let’s get started.

Step (1)

The first step is easy, just go to Facebook.com and click the triangle in the top left of the screen. This will drop down a list of options, go ahead and click “Setting and

Privacy” then click “settings.”

Step (2)

After clicking “settings” Facebook will take you to the “general account settings page.” Here you will select the option “Your Facebook Information.” Then select “view” on the deactivation and deletion selection.

Once you have selected to view the Facebook account deactivation tab, Facebook will prompt you with two options: to “permanently delete” your account or to temporarily deactivate the account. For this video, I am choosing to “deactivate the account” because the

“delete account option” is very straight

forward and requires little explanation. Go

ahead and select “deactivate account”

and then click “continue with account deactivation.”

Step (4)

This new page, is asking for the “reason

you are leaving” so go ahead and select

your reason, I choose “privacy concern”

for my reason. Once you have selected your

reason most likely Facebook will then ask

for feedback, however this not required so

click the “x” button to skip this. Now

that you have chosen your reasoning, then

you must decide if you want facebook emails

still sent to your email address, click the

white box to opt out. Then you will need to

do the same thing with deciding if you still

want access to Facebook messenger. After all

those things are taken care of you will then

select “deactivate” at the bottom of the page

Step (5)

After you have pressed deactivate, Facebook

will ask you one last time if you want to

deactivate. If you are positive you want to

deactivate your account click “deactivate

now.” If you ever want to get back into

your facebook account and reactivate it, all

you have to do is sign in like normal.
